    Churros are a type of fritter which are a traditional Spanish snack. They are made from a flour and water dough which is squeezed by a special machine into long ribbed tubular shapes, which are then fried in hot oil and coated with sugar. They are often eaten with thick hot chocolate at special snack bars called “churrerías”. People also eat them at home with coffee for breakfast or buy them to eat out of a paper cone in fairgrounds during their local annual festivals.
